I got engaged!!!

After 8 years together, my (now) fiance popped the question on December 23rd with my ENTIRE family surrounding us at home for our annual Christmas Eve Eve Celebration. I'm so grateful that my best friend (who was also there with her parents) was in on the surprise. She made sure to bring a camera and put her Dad in charge of capturing the event towards the end of the night.

Duane Popping the Question 

After all the presents were opened and my family was still gathered in a circle in the living room, Duane reached down into a cabinet underneath our television and pulled something out. I noticed him doing it, but didn't imagine what it was! He pulled me into the center of the room, got down on one knee and simply said, "Will you?"

Cry or Laugh?

Over the last 8 years, I've imagined many scenarios of how this would happen. I always thought that I would cry uncontrollably. But what came out was laughter! 

Saying "Yes"

After I calmed down a bit, I said "Yes" of course! My boyfriend of 8 years was now my fiance!

The Ring

Duane did an AMAZING job of picking out my beautiful diamond engagement ring! The details are just gorgeous. This ring was definitely unexpected as I had chosen a ring a few months prior. But when he went to pick out MY ring, he saw this and knew it was just perfect for me.
